LATA Awards 2023: Kyle Kankonde

Latin Alternative Theater Award honors **Kyle Kankonde** with a LATA AWARD 2023 as an Actress in Best Ensemble for “**Hamlet in Harlem**”. Written and directed by **Alberto Ferreras** -Theater for the New City.

Kyle Kankonde was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and has been performing since the age of 5. Dance was her first love and she was lucky to train, compete, and perform at notable institutions across the country throughout her youth. After graduating with a B.A. in Dance from the George Washington University, she transitioned to acting and print modeling. Kyle has worked for clients such as L’Oreal, Lonely Planet, K Health, and Tinder, and recently completed an independent thriller film this summer. Kyle’s most exciting role of 2022 has been playing Dahlia/Ophelia in “Hamlet in Harlem” by Alberto Ferreras.
