•The LATA Awards (Latin Alternative Theater Awards), created by Héctor Luis Productions under the direction of Héctor Luis Sin Censura, have celebrated Latino alternative theater since 2017 in New York, New Jersey and nearby areas.

Nestor Carrillo– was born in El Salvador but was raised in Mexico. He studied acting interpretation at the Foro Sylvia Pasquel (Mexico), Universal School of Acting (NY) and Raul Julia Training Unit at the Puerto Rican Travelling Theatre. His  credits includes: “Martina the Little Roach”,  “Little Red Riding Hood”, “La Muela del Rey Farfan”, “La Ceci”,  “De Hombre a Hombre”, “Frida Kahlo” (This last show earned him a nomination as Best Monologue for the 2013 ATI Awards and a nomination as Best One Man Show for the 2013 ACE Awards), “The Legends of the Enchanted Treasure” (teatro SEA), “Welcome Home Sunny T” and “The Dead Of A Black Man” (Written and Directed by William Electric Black) “Sebastian y Los Adoquines”, ( Amigos del Corralon Inc. PR, “SUEÑO” (A midsummer night dream) (Teatro SEA)  “Live At The Ping Pong Room”,  “A Night With The Dead” (Produced by Que Emocion and Something From Abroad Productions) Nestor has also worked in commercials for radio and T.V.

Carrillo will receive the recognition on March 25 at the LATA Charity Gala in commemoration of International Theater Day to be held at the William V. Musto Cultural Center in Union City, NJ
