•The LATA Awards (Latin Alternative Theater Awards), launched by the digital magazine Héctor Luis Sin Censura, under the direction of Héctor Luis Rivera, its editor, celebrate Latin alternative theater since 2017 in New York, New Jersey and nearby areas. These awards not only honor local artists but also recognize international organizations, institutions and artists that have played a significant role in this artistic evolution. It is a platform that seeks to highlight the contribution and importance of alternative art in these communities, giving recognition to those who have promoted and enriched this field. Under the slogan “Nothing like the LATAs” they select the Best of Alternative Theater and its protagonists. The warm reception and acceptance of this initiative has led the organization to launch special editions in Spain and Puerto Rico.
