Latin Alternative Theater Award honors **John David West** with a LATA AWARD 2023 as an Actor in Best Ensemble for
“*Hamlet in Harlem*” Written and directed by **Alberto Ferreras** -Theater for the New City.
John David West is an American actor known for the award-winning short film series “*The Lessons*” by Alberto Ferreras and “*Fig Jam*” by **Frank J. Avella**. His short “*Lesson #8*” by Alberto Ferreras premiered at Outfest 2019, and received multiple awards at the Sedona International Film Festival 2020 and Cinekink 2019.

Among his many theater appearances are “Catamitus and Ganymede Revisited” at The Tank Theater, “Cannibal: The Musical” at the Krane Theater, and most recently the comedy “Hamlet in Harlem” at Theater for the New City. West is one of the founders of the legendary Centerstage Theater, NY in New York City were playwright Steven Adley Girgis premiered many of his plays.
